20 November 2018: full-time activism
Luxembourg animal rights activists were pretty busy on November 20.
Around 15 of them gathered as of 6am at the slaughterhouse in Wecker for a vigil organized by Luxembourg Animal Save. They were supported by Australian activist Joey Carbstrong.
Tageblatt, the second biggest national newspaper, dedicated a full-page article to the event. The journalist highlighted that the Luxembourg chapter of the Save Movement, although only created a few months ago, and although weather conditions were icy, succeeded in attracting all these activists to the slaughterhouse in the early morning.
Ralph Mousel, member of Luxembourg Animal Save, founded by Daniel Didier who was also mentioned in the article, was given the opportunity to explain the motivation behind the action and described how cows are turned into ‘milkmachines’ and why cows are killed for milk.
In the afternoon, a Cube of Truth was organized in Luxembourg-city, before people headed to the Oekozenter, the Luxembourg Vegan Society headquarter, where Joey Carbstrong reflected on activism and his own way of becoming vegan.
