Joey Carbstrong is a controversial animal rights activist and prominent online influencer from Adelaide, Australia. Carbstrong is a reformed gang member who transformed his life after an epiphany he had when he was in prison. He is now a passionate sober, vegan advocate who spends his time creating awareness for the plight of animals and inspires people to make more compassionate choices.

 As part of Carbstrong’s European tour, he will be travelling to 15 cities to do speeches on effective vegan advocacy, street outreach with the activist group ‘Anonymous for the Voiceless’ and will also be ‘bearing witness’ out the front of multiple slaughterhouses with the worldwide group ‘The Save Movement’. The purpose of these vigils is to highlight the plight of the animals people consume and to bring images out to help the public make the connection to where their food comes from.

•Vigil with „The Save Movement“ at Cobolux Slaughterhouse, Wecker (11 Haaptstrooss, L-6869 Wecker) from 6:00 to 9:00

•Cube of Truth with „Anonymous for the Voiceless“ at Luxembourg-City (30, Grand-Rue, L-1660 Luxembourg) from 14:00 to 16:00

•Speech at the Vegan Society headquarter Oekozenter Pafendall (6, rue Vauban, L-2663 Luxembourg) starting at around 16:30 (free entry)

Background:

He then went on to have a TV appearance on a popular British morning show called ‚This Morning’ where he debated two farmers on the practice of dairy farming. He made some controversial comments about the farmers contributing to the ‘sexual abuse’ of animals.

The media have covered Carbstrong’s story extensively in dozens of articles and Joey has since had multiple interviews and radio debates across the UK.

One of Carbstrong’s more well known exchanges was with Piers Morgan, a celebrity TV presenter, on the popular morning show ‘Good morning Britain’. Carbstrong was defending the position that ‘milk is murder’ against three others on the show. It caused quite an uproar online and across the world.
